Questions
Questions sellers ask first
Short answers to the things that decide whether a market is worth opening a shop on.
Entry, terms and payouts
Does Nexus accept new vendors?
Entry is screened rather than open, so applications are reviewed rather than approved automatically. Expect to be asked what you sell and where you have sold before, and expect the answer to carry more weight if you can sign it with a key that matches a public history.
What is the vendor bond for?
It is money at risk that tells a buyer a new shop has something to lose. Without one, a fresh vendor account is indistinguishable from a throwaway, and buyers price that in by not ordering. Read the refund terms before paying it.
How is commission charged?
As a percentage of order value, taken when escrow releases rather than when the order is placed. Orders that never complete do not cost you a cut.
When can I withdraw?
Funds move to your balance once the buyer confirms receipt and the escrow releases, and you withdraw from there. Withdraw regularly rather than letting a balance accumulate on the market.
Running the shop
Can I bring my ratings from another market?
No market can verify another market database, so the number always starts at zero. What you can bring is a PGP key that matches your public history, which lets buyers check the claim instead of trusting it.
What happens to my shop when a mirror goes down?
Nothing. The onion addresses are separate doors into the same market, and your account, listings and orders are identical behind each one. Buyers switch addresses and carry on.
Should I offer finalize early?
Not on a young account. Asking a buyer to release before delivery reads as a scam signal on a shop without history, and it costs more in lost orders than the escrow wait saves you in working capital.
Which coin should I settle in?
Monero wherever the buyer used it. Bitcoin and Litecoin payouts land on a public ledger that stays readable indefinitely, and a payout trail is the part of a vendor operation that is hardest to undo later.
Before you commit
Every figure quoted by any site, including this one, is a description of the model rather than a contract. Confirm the bond, the commission and the payout terms inside the vendor area on a verified address before you send anything, and treat a market that will not state those terms plainly as an answer in itself.

Before your password, read the onion on the login screen back against your address bar. If they do not match, close the tab. A vendor account created on a clone is a vendor account handed to somebody else.
